Running For Oak Hill City Council, Ward II

Steve Hayslette is a lifelong resident of the Minden area of Oak Hill. He and his wife Cindy are proud parents of two boys, Blake and Logan. Steve was appointed to council in 2018 to fill a vacancy created when councilman Bruce Coleman passed away. He was elected to city council in 2019. A graduate of Oak Hill High School and Marshall University, Steve also serves on the Economic Development Committee. He is the owner and operator of Hayslette Towing.

“I want to see the city grow, attract, and support businesses. Oak Hill has so much potential with its proximity to the New River Gorge and its location along the Route 19 Corridor. I want to see Oak Hill be the family friendly destination for visitors to the New River G Gorge National Park. In our spare time, my wife and I enjoy taking our boys to one of the several city parks or biking along the
rail trail. We love Oak Hill because of its proximity to the New River and all the exciting places the area offers for exploring outdoors.”
