My name is Danita Young, and I am a candidate for re-election for the office of county magistrate court.
I have over 33 years of experience, working in magistrate court system. I begin working in the court system as a magistrate assistant with the late Larry Dotson, and feel that this gave me invaluable experience of learning the job from the ground up.
I have been elected to the position of magistrate the last six elections to which I owe you the voters Fayette County, my gratitude.
I am a graduate of the American Academy of Judicial Education, and have attended each annual training school and seminar that the West Virginia Supreme Court has offered in order to keep fully updated and knowledgeable of the West Virginia code, and the ever-changing criminal and civil law procedures.
I believe a magistrate should work for the people. I promise to be available to the people of Fayette County, to be fair, and honest, and to strive to make wise and just decisions in the course of the job that I love and respect so much!
